FATCHIP is responsible for the realization and maintenance of Neckermann.at. The online shop that is based on OXID eShop Enterprise Edition 4 was expanded extensively.

Customer profile

Neckermann.at developed from Austria’s and Germany’s most traditional mail-order businesses and has been investing in modern logistics, storage technology, and data processing for the past 20 years. Therefore, numerous jobs and apprenticeship positions could be created. Since 2012, Neckermann.at is lead by its German owner TopAgers/Eurotops that has been active as a mail-order business in Europe for more than 25 years. Neckermann.at comprises an extensive product range including fashion and lifestyle, technology, sports, leisure, as well as beauty and wellness.

Requirement

Besides the essential frontend adjustments the goal was to ensure a stable performance and develop a user-friendly surface that includes all requested features. These were, amongst others, an installment calculator and the integration of product videos.

Technical realization

Since the web shop contains numerous articles and categories, various performance analysis and optimizations were necessary. Beyond that, individual adjustments and plugins were developed in order to realize the requested functions and features. The different discounting options and the loyalty program Neckpot are to be highlighted. Furthermore, an installment calculator was integrated into the checkout process; it is also available in the article overview. The integration of the product videos was realized with Cliplister. To improve the article presentation, many adjustments and plugin developments were realized.
